Universal compact device for synchronization – NTP-server UCDES 02

UCDES 02 description

Universal compact device for synchronization (UCDES) is the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) equipment that provides:

  • exact time signals for time synchronization of various systems and equipment;
  • functionality of Stratum-1 Network Time Protocol (NTP) server in IP networks.

Power supply is obtained from the non-redundant source AC 220V/ DC 60V / DC 24V. Power consumption is not higher than 5W.

The maintenance of the device is kept as simple as possible. Initial set-up can be done with the help of provided software (Technical Maintenance System - TMS). It is connected to the UCDES 02 through the available Ethernet or USB ports.

During operation, the current state of the device is fully controlled with the 4 multi-color LED indicators. More detailed information can be additionally received from the TMS software.

Construction

In terms of design, the device is made in the metal body of size 90x145x40 mm (HxWxD), with especial elements for installation on the DIN rail or for the wall mount. It is also possible to install the device on the table.

The device is equipped with:

  1. 2 Ethernet 10/100 Base-T ports.
  2. 1PPS signal output.
  3. RS-232 port.
  4. Antenna connector of GPS/GLONASS module.
  5. Power socket.
  6. USB port for device management.
  7. LED indicators for the current state visualization.

Application environment

The device is intended to be installed in the premises with the following ambient conditions:

  • surrounding air temperature of the hardware unit from ‑25°C to +70°C;
  • surrounding air temperature of the antenna unit from ‑40°C to +85°C;
  • relative humidity of the air up to 90% at +30°C;
  • air pressure not lower than 60 kPa (450 mm of mercury).
